Video: Action Duo Will Smith & Martin Lawrence Rev Up For “Bad Boys 4: Ride or Die”

Fans of the beloved Bad Boys franchise have something explosive to look forward to, as Sony Pictures just dropped the high-octane trailer for “Bad Boys 4: Ride or Die” starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

Reprising their roles as maverick Miami detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, the buddy cop pairing is back for another round of automotive mayhem and explosive wisecracks in the franchise’s fourth installment.

The new trailer teases all the bombastic action and offbeat humor fans have come to expect, with highlights including a bungled convenience store hold-up, blazing car chases, and what appears to be Lowrey and Burnett’s boss (Joe Pantoliano) getting framed for drug smuggling.

The trailer also hints that the film could explore the surprise family connection revealed in 2020’s “Bad Boys for Life,” where it was disclosed Lowrey’s son is the vengeful Armando (Jacob Scipio).

Added to the ensemble are newcomers like Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, and in an undisclosed role, comedian Tiffany Haddish – who joins thanks to her existing bond with Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
Also returning to direct after helming the third film are filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.

With a $426 million global haul for “Bad Boys for Life,” this new sequel could be another box office scorcher when it ignites theaters on June 7th. The franchise has already amassed over $840 million across its run so far.

Producers Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, and Doug Belgrad are no doubt hoping “Ride or Die” has the horsepower to make the series the next billion-dollar franchise for Sony after recently achieving that milestone with Ghostbusters.

If the trailer is any indication, “Bad Boys 4” looks primed to deliver another turbo-charged adrenaline rush.
