Ice Spice vs Latto: The Rap Beef That’s Heating Up The Internet

Ice Spice and Latto are two of the hottest female rappers in the game, but they are actually not on good terms. The two have been throwing shade at each other for months, escalating their rap beef to a new level.

The feud may have deepened when Latto released a snippet of an unreleased song on Instagram, where she rapped:

“Every time y’all put me with them hoes, it’s gon’ be big drama / Twenty black Suburbans, we pull up like Sunday Service / I just want a one on one, don’t know why she so nervous.”

In the background of the video, Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj’s “Barbie World” video was playing, which may have implied that Latto was calling out Ice Spice.

The ‘Princess Diana’ rapper, who is nominated for three Grammys this year, did not take kindly to the diss. She dropped a single called “Think U The Sh*t (Fart)”, where she mocked a female artist and accused her of copying her style. She also took shots at the person’s appearance, rapping:

“You think you the sh*t, but you really just a fart / You ain’t got no bars, you just got a lot of parts / You need to fix your face, ’cause you look like a tart / You ain’t a real rapper, you just play the part.”

Ice Spice recently confirmed that the song was aimed at Latto in a Twitter Space with her fans, where she explained why she was offended by the latter’s snippet.

“The thing for me is, why am I seeing that I’m in the back [on the television screen] of your weak ass snippet,” she said. “So, I was like, ‘Wait, is that me?’ So, I’m like, ‘Since we’re talking about me, let’s talk about me. And I dropped [‘Think U The Sh*t (Fart)’].”

Latto has not directly responded to Ice Spice’s diss track yet. However, the 25-year old rapper recently made her SNL debut on Saturday, as a musical guest. She joined Jennifer Lopez and Redman for a remix of “Can’t Get Enough”, the lead single from Lopez’s upcoming album, This Is Me…Now
