Morgan Wallen Got In Trouble With The Police

Country star Morgan Wallen is in the news again, and not for good reasons. On Monday, April 8th, Wallen was taken by the police in Nashville, Tennessee. He’s accused of tossing a chair from the top of a well-known bar downtown.

The Nashville Police said this happened at Chief’s, a bar on a roof owned by Eric Church, another country singer. Reports say Wallen, 30, was up on the roof when he threw the chair. It fell down on Broadway – a street full of people – near two cops.

Wallen faces three big charges for putting people in danger on purpose and one smaller charge for causing a scene. He left jail after paying $15,250 and will go to court on May 3rd.

This isn’t Wallen’s first brush with trouble. In 2020, he was taken by the police for being drunk and loud after a bar kicked him out. That year, he also lost a chance to sing on Saturday Night Live because a video showed him at a party without a mask during the COVID-19 crisis.

But the big storm came in February 2021 when he was caught on video saying a bad word about a race. Many people were upset, and his songs were taken off many radio lists. Wallen said sorry many times, took a break, and learned more about being respectful.

Still, Wallen’s songs have done very well. His album “Dangerous: The Double Album” was a big hit, leading the charts and setting records for being played a lot. He even won prizes at the 2022 Academy of Country Music Awards and the 2023 Billboard Music Awards.

This new arrest makes people wonder if Wallen can avoid trouble. It’s too early to tell how this will affect his music career. But, it’s a step back for someone trying to show he’s changed after earlier situations.
