Zendaya, the actress and singer who stars as Chani in the sci-fi epic Dune: Part Two, has been turning heads with her red carpet looks for the movie’s premieres.
But her latest outfit, a silver robot suit that she wore at the London premiere, has divided the internet and sparked a hilarious meme frenzy.
The suit, which was designed by Thierry Mugler in 1995 and inspired by the character Futura from the novel Metropolis, is made of chrome and plexiglass, and features cutouts that reveal the actress’ skin.
It was originally worn by a model at Mugler’s 20th anniversary fashion show, which was dubbed “the Woodstock of Fashion” by the New York Times.
However the outfit she wore, while being admired by some, also inspired a wave of memes on social media.
