The truth about Alix Earle’s relationship with Braxton Berrios has been revealed.
The season 4 debut of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast featured 22-year-old Earle, who revealed the truth about her relationship with the 27-year-old NFL player.
Prior to their breakup in March, Berrios and Sophia Culpo dated for two years. They were previously linked. The TikTok celebrity was charged with being the cause of Berrios and Earle’s separation after they were seen together.
Cooper, 29, questioned Earle on the Call Her Daddy episode airing on Wednesday about the accusations that surrounded their relationship.
“This past summer, you were getting scrutinized on the internet. People were calling you a mistress, some people were calling you a homewrecker, in regards to the NFL player you were hooking up with,” Cooper said. “Can you confirm: Were you hooking up with him when he was in a relationship?”
Earle replied, “It is so triggering to even hear you say that,” before clarifying, “No. They were not together.”
According to her, she was “reading these comments” about herself and the Miami Dolphins wide receiver and “bawling my eyes out to my friends.”
Earle told Cooper earlier in the program about her family’s troubled history with adultery. She described how their family was torn apart by her father’s romance with his current wife, Ashley Dupré.
“I spent my childhood thinking this is basically the worst thing you could do to another human. So why the f— would I do that?” she said.
Cooper next questioned the University of Miami alum about the origins of the rumors.
“I guess the ex-girlfriend had started posting things alluding to unfaithfulness in the relationship online and I was seen hanging out with this guy so everyone just kinda pointed fingers at me,” she said.
Earle said she was immediately skeptical and confronted Berrios about it. “You know I was asking for the receipts. Like, right away I was probably more psycho than she was. I was like there’s just no f—— way this happened. Like, I was checking everything.”
Since then, she and Berrios “have been over this probably 110 times,” she said, “because I was like, if you did that to a person, obviously, of course, you’ll probably do that to me too, and if I did that to someone else, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself.”
Regarding her involvement, Culpo claimed in a since-deleted TikTok Story published in June that her ex-boyfriend had been unfaithful to her.
Their relationship was “good” and “healthy,” according to Berrios’ own statement on the split, but “towards the end” things “weren’t working out.”
He said their breakup in January “had nothing to do with anything else,” and added, “It had nothing to do with anybody else for that matter.”
Afterwards, Culpo revealed what she referred to as “the real timeline” of their breakup.
She also posted screenshots of many alleged texts she allegedly had with Berrios.
Later, Culpo released a since-deleted TikTok video that appeared to be intended both at Earle and her ex-husband. Give it some time, but phone me when the love bombing is over. I got you #girltok #narcredflag,” she wrote in the comments section of the video, which was published days after Berrios and Earle spent time together in the Hamptons.
Earle was upfront with Cooper about her current status as a single woman and the fact that she is not officially dating Berrios, despite clarifying her side of the story on the podcast episode.
The two have never been exclusive, and Earle made it clear that she didn’t want them to be.
