Jon Stewart Returns to The Daily Show After 9 Years with Jokes and Jabs at Biden and Trump

Jon Stewart is back at the helm of The Daily Show as host and executive producer, nine years after he left the Comedy Central program and passed the torch to Trevor Noah.

He received a warm welcome from the studio audience and joked that he had decided to return because “talk-show hosts are granted immunity” from legal troubles.

Stewart, who will be hosting on Mondays, said he was excited to be back and to comment on the current political situation. He then launched into a series of routines about the Super Bowl, the conspiracy theories involving Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

He talked about the upcoming presidential election, which he hilariously dubbed “Indecision 2024: Electile Dysfunction”.

Jon Stewart mocked President Joe Biden’s appearance on TikTok and his recent press conference, where he made some gaffes about Gaza and Mexico.

Also, while playing clips of Trump and his children saying they couldn’t remember things in depositions, he quipped, “It turns out that the leading cause of early onset dementia is being deposed.”

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart airs on Monday nights at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central, and is available the next day on Paramount+.
