On Saturday, May 4th, 2024 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, the Lovers & Friends Festival 2024 was canceled without warning by its hosts after they received severe weather warnings.
This conclusion was taken after a number of days’ worth of monitoring conditions and proactive measures to counteract wind-related damages. However, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a High Wind Warning which forecasts dangerous sustained winds between 30-35 mph, with gusts over 60 mph.
In light of their duty towards attendees’ safety as well as that of all artists performing or working during this festival; organizers decided to cancel it in consultation with relevant authorities representing different levels of local government administration structures across Nevada state where such events take place annually among other states within the USA.
“Due to information given by our national meteorological agency and following consultations held among ourselves alongside other stakeholders including representatives from various public departments situated at city level up-to county level; we are left with no choice but to cancel the Lovebirds & Friends day long music celebration scheduled for tomorrow”
Certainly, there will be many unhappy fans who bought tickets only now finding out they won’t get to see all those performers live. Official artist lineup shall not be released due to focus being placed upon delivering news based on facts rather than rumors or speculation. However, some acts billed included headliner sets from Usher, Janet Jackson, Backstreet Boys, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, Nas, Alicia Keys, Nelly Furtado, Ludacris, and more.
