Despicable Me 4 Trailer: Gru and the Minions Face New Enemies and Adventures

Despicable Me 4, the highly anticipated sequel to the hit animated franchise, has released its first trailer, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect from the new film.

The recently aired trailer shows the return of Gru, voiced by Steve Carell, his wife Lucy, voiced by Kristen Wiig, his three adopted daughters Margo, Edith, and Agnes, voiced by Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier, and newcomer Madison Polan, and his newborn son, Gru Jr.

It also introduces the new villains of the film, Maxime Le Mal and Valentina, voiced by Will Ferrell and Sofia Vergara, who are plotting to take over the world with their army of robots.

The Despicable me 4 trailer begins with Gru and Lucy celebrating their 10th anniversary, and Gru surprising Lucy with a trip to Paris, where they first met. However, their romantic getaway is interrupted by a call from the Anti-Villain League, which informs them that they have a new assignment: to stop Maxime Le Mal, a former child star turned evil genius, and his girlfriend Valentina, a seductive and dangerous spy. Gru and Lucy decide to take their kids and the Minions with them, hoping to combine work and family time.

Despicable Me 4 is directed by Chris Renaud, who also directed the first two films, and co-directed by Patrick Delage. The film is written by Mike White and Ken Daurio, and produced by Chris Meledandri and Brett Hoffman.

It is set to be released on July 3, 2024, and will be distributed by Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment.
