Netflix Shares Sneak Peek While Announcing Bridgerton Season 3 Premiere Date

Bridgerton, the hit Netflix series based on Julia Quinn’s novels, is returning for a third season that will focus on the romance between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).

Bridgerton season 3 will be based on the third novel in Quinn’s series, Romancing Mister Bridgerton, which explores how Penelope and Colin fall in love after being friends for a long time.

Penelope has harbored a crush on Colin for ages, but he thinks of her as nothing more than his sister’s closest friend. Colin, on the other hand, has been roaming the globe and penning a travel book, but he is not satisfied with his life.

When he comes back to London, he begins to see Penelope in a different way, but he also uncovers that she is the elusive Lady Whistledown. The notorious gossip writer who has been revealing the secrets of high society or as they call it, the ton.

On Valentine’s day, Netflix revealed that Bridgerton season 3 will debut on May 16th this year with eight episodes. But the season will be divided into two halves, with the first half releasing on May 16th, and the second on June 13th.

Netflix also gave a sneak peek of what each episode’s title were and photos of what’s to come in the show.

The show, which follows the lives and loves of the aristocratic Bridgerton family and their friends in Regency-era London, has captivated millions of viewers with its lavish costumes, witty dialogue, and of course, steamy scenes.
