Mario Lemina And Pablo Sarabia Of Wolves Strike In Injury Time To Stun Depleted Tottenham

Tottenham passed up the chance to reclaim the top spot in the Premier League as Wolves stole a 2-1 victory at Molineux by scoring twice in injury time. Pablo Sarabia’s incredible two-touch equalizer set off the chaos, and Mario Lemina’s miraculous last-second goal trickled past Guglielmo Vicario with the merest of touches. For the time being at least, Spurs remain in second place, while Wolves move up to 12th.

In the Premier League midday kickoff, Wolves stunned Spurs with two outstanding goals in injury time to win 2-1 in the end.

In less than three minutes, Brennan Johnson scored the first goal for Spurs. Pedro Porro was set free by Dejan Kulusevski to the right, and he slid the ball across goal for Johnson to tap in.

In regular time, there weren’t many obvious opportunities in this close contest. Wolves had plenty of opportunities to put a makeshift Spurs backline to the test, but they performed particularly poorly when it came to set pieces.

Everything changed with Pablo Sarabia’s introduction. He tied the score with an incredible catch and volley from Matheus Cunha’s cross in the first minute of injury time.

Then, with seconds remaining, Sarabia’s deft through pass to Mario Lemina allowed him to clip in a stunning late winner, sending Molineux into a frenzy.
