Angry Fans Attack Aston Villa Team Bus After Win At Burnley

The Aston Villa team bus was attacked on its way back from the match, after the game against the newly promoted Vincent Kompany side, Burnley.

As reported by BBC Sport, the incident took place at junction 10 of the M65 motorway west of Burnley town center.

According to Supt Melita Worswick, of Lancashire Police, “This incident occurred when a great deal of traffic was leaving the area following the football match between Burnley and Aston Villa.”

“It is nothing but good fortune that the brick didn’t cause more damage, or result in somebody being seriously injured or even killed.”

In a statement, the club said:

“Burnley Football Club is saddened and dismayed to learn about an attack on the Aston Villa team bus at junction 10 of the M65 after today’s match.”

“Having spoken with Villa we are relieved to hear nobody was hurt in the incident.”

Although the home side put up a fight, Burkey crashed to in-form Aston Villa and were two goals down after the first half.

At the beginning of the second half, they played a much better game, and the result was a goal. But Aston Villa pulled another back to seal the deal.
