Marvel Unveils the New Cast of Fantastic Four Together With Release Date

Marvel Studios has finally revealed the cast and release date for its upcoming reboot of the Fantastic Four, the iconic superhero team created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

The reboot will be directed by Matt Shakman, who has contributed to mega series like WandaVision, Succession, Game of Thrones and The Great. It is already set to hit theaters on July 25th, 2025.

The new Fantastic Four will star Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn as the four astronauts who gain superpowers after a cosmic radiation exposure.

Pedro Pascal, who is currently leading the HBO adaptation of The Last of Us and the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, will play Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, the brilliant scientist and leader of the team who can stretch his body into any shape.

Vanessa Kirby (Pieces of a Woman) will play Sue Storm, aka Invisible Woman, Reed’s girlfriend and the team’s heart who can turn invisible and create force fields.

Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear) will play Ben Grimm, aka The Thing, Reed’s best friend and the team’s muscle who transforms into a rock-like creature with super strength and durability.

Finally, Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) will play Johnny Storm, aka The Human Torch, Sue’s brother and the team’s hothead who can fly and manipulate fire.

Marvel announced the news on its social media accounts, including Instagram, on Valentine’s Day, with a cartoon poster featuring the four actors in their superhero costumes, along with the caption:

“Happy Valentine’s Day from Marvel’s First Family! Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn are The Fantastic Four. Marvel Studios’ #TheFantasticFour, in theaters July 25, 2025.”

Marvel’s Fantastic Four is expected to be one of the biggest and most anticipated films of 2025, and a potential game-changer for the MCU.
