Alvin Kamara, a running back for the New Orleans Saints, was sentenced to a three-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy after entering a no contest plea to the charges related to a fight in Las Vegas, the league announced on Friday.

At the Saints’ media availability on Friday, Kamara, 28, said he accepts responsibility for his part in the incident in February 2022 in which a person claimed they were assaulted in a nightclub.

Christopher Lammons, a cornerback for the Indianapolis Colts, was one of the four men that were detained by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police in February 2022 along with Kamara. They had already been charged this year. For his involvement in the incident, Lammons has also been given a three-game suspension.

Online court records show that Kamara pleaded “no contest” to a misdemeanor breach of peace charge in July and accepted a $500 fine, payment of the victim’s medical costs, and 30 hours of community service in exchange.

David Chesnoff, Kamara’s lawyer, verified the sentence’s specifics but made no additional comments.
