All week long, Sean Strickland has been talking nonstop but at this point, Israel Adesanya seeks to put an end to that.
The middleweight championship fight between Adesanya and Strickland, who is defending his second title reign, is the main event of UFC 293 in Sydney, Australia. Although it seems inevitable that Adesanya would prevail, the underappreciated and much ignored Strickland has quietly managed to prevail in eight of his last 10 battles. However, none of those triumphs were over opponents who came close to matching Adesanya’s caliber.
Tai Tuivasa returns home to take on Alexander Volkov on the 293 card. Returning to a familiar position as the underdog, the crowd will be prepared to erupt should Tuivasa deliver a knockout blow.
But attention is on the primary activity. Given that the crowd will be wholly behind Adesanya, there should be cause for jubilation.
