92-Year-Old Media Titan, Rupert Murdoch, to Wed Elena Zhukova in a Summer Ceremony

Media titan, Rupert Murdoch, is once again stepping into the limelight as he announces his engagement to Elena Zhukova, a retired molecular biologist.

Zhukova, 67, has an impressive background in diabetes research at institutions like the University of California, Los Angeles. The couple’s relationship began in the summer and quickly blossomed, leading to their decision to tie the knot.

According to the New York Times, the upcoming nuptials, happening in June, are set to be held at Murdoch’s picturesque California vineyard and estate, Moraga, with invitations already making their way to guests.

USA TODAY reports that this event marks the 92-year-old’s sixth engagement. Rupert Murdoch’s previous marriage to supermodel Jerry Hall ended in the summer of 2022. Shortly after, he was briefly engaged to Ann Lesley Smith, a retired dental hygienist, before their swift separation.

Zhukova also brings her own storied past to the union. Previously married to Alexander Zhukov, a billionaire energy investor, she shares her roots with Murdoch in the world of high-stakes business and international connections.

Murdoch’s personal life has often been as newsworthy as his professional endeavors. Having stepped down from his roles as chair of Fox Corporation and executive chairman of News Corp in September 2023, he pushed his empire to his son Lachlan Murdoch. Yet, even in retirement, Rupert Murdoch continues to make headlines.
