Jake Paul, a famous YouTuber who now fights professionally, has recently silenced his critics by defeating two experienced boxers in a row, both within the first round of their matches.
In his latest fight, held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Jake faced off against Ryan Bourland. Using a combination of strong jabs and powerful punches to the body, Jake managed to land a decisive blow that left Bourland struggling against the ropes. Referee Luis Pabon stopped the fight at 2 minutes and 37 seconds into the first round, declaring Jake the winner by TKO.
Jake, who now lives and trains in Puerto Rico, has earned himself the nickname “El Gallo de Dorado,” meaning “The Golden Rooster.” He embraced this persona by entering the ring wearing a rooster outfit, which delighted the local fans who cheered him on throughout the match. Speaking after the fight, Jake expressed his gratitude for the support he received from the Puerto Rican crowd.
This victory comes after Jake’s previous first-round knockout of Andre August, another experienced boxer, in December. Jake’s dominance was evident in the fight against Bourland, as he landed 24 punches compared to Bourland’s 3.
Looking ahead, Jake is eager to face even tougher opponents and prove himself in the boxing world. While he didn’t mention any specific names, he did call out Canelo Alvarez, a renowned boxer, challenging him to a match representing Puerto Rico against Mexico.
Despite suffering his first career loss to Tommy Fury in February 2023, Jake has since bounced back with three consecutive wins. His victories include a decision win over UFC legend Nate Diaz and knockout wins against former UFC champions Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley.
As for Bourland, the 35-year-old Californian saw his three-fight winning streak come to an end against Jake. Despite the loss, Bourland remains a respected fighter in the boxing community.
