The race was supposed to start just after 2 p.m. CT on Sunday, but the rainy forecast caused NASCAR to postpone it. Saturday’s Xfinity Series race also got postponed to Monday because of rain, and more rain is expected in Daytona Beach throughout Sunday morning and afternoon.

Joey Logano will start on the pole, with Michael McDowell next to him on the front row. They’ll lead the field whenever the weather allows the race to start.

The Daytona 500 was canceled for Sunday and rescheduled for Monday, with a start time of 4 p.m. ET. The Xfinity race will happen before the Cup Series race.

The National Weather Service forecasts a 90% chance of rain on Sunday, with rain expected during the morning and afternoon. There might be 1 to 2 inches of rain, and showers are likely to continue into Sunday evening.

The Daytona 500 will be shown nationally on FOX and FOX Deportes. You can also stream it on the FOX Sports app or FUBO, which offers a free trial.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be the grand marshal for Sunday’s race and will give the command to start the engines. The 82nd Airborne Division All-American Chorus will perform the National Anthem.
