Audrii Cunningham is an 11-year-old girl from Livingston, Texas, who has been missing since Thursday morning. She was last seen near her home and an Amber Alert has been issued for her since Friday.
On Saturday, the police said they had taken a Don Steven McDougal, 42, into custody. Although he is a person of interest in Audrii’s disappearance, he was arrested for a different crime: aggravated assault.
The police are searching for a 2003 dark blue Chevrolet Suburban that may be linked to the case and McDougal owns this vehicle. They want to hear from anyone who saw it on Thursday or Friday. So please call the Polk County Sheriff’s Office if you did.
Authorities also said that they have found a backpack near the Lake Livingston dam on Friday, which they believe belongs to Audrii. They have not revealed what other items they have found, but they said they suspect foul play in her disappearance.
If you have any information that can help catch and convict anyone involved with Audrii Cunningham’s disappearance, Polk County Crime Stoppers will give you a $7,000 reward. You can reach the authorities through 936-327-STOP or visit this website.
