Klay Thompson delivered a 28-point performance on a night marked by Stephen Curry’s NBA-record 3-pointer streak ending at 268 games. Despite Curry’s struggles, the Golden State Warriors managed to secure a 118-114 victory against the Portland Trail Blazers, marking their second consecutive win.

Curry had an off night, going 0 for 8 from 3-point range and 2 for 12 overall, resulting in a seven-point contribution. This concluded a streak that began on December 1, 2018, at Detroit. The NBA career leader in 3-pointers, Curry recently celebrated his 3,500th, but his last game without a 3-pointer in the regular season dates back to November 8, 2018, against Milwaukee. He also holds the second-longest streak at 157 games.

Andrew Wiggins, recently removed from the Warriors’ starting lineup, stepped up with 25 points and seven rebounds. Rookie Trayce Jackson-Davis contributed 14 points and eight rebounds, aiding the Warriors in securing back-to-back victories for the first time since early November.

For Portland, Jerami Grant led with an impressive 30 points, while Anfernee Simons showcased a strong second-half performance, scoring all 21 of his points.

The Trail Blazers narrowed the gap to 113-111 with 39 seconds remaining. However, Chris Paul’s jumper and Simon’s 3-point play kept the Warriors ahead. In the final moments, Curry split a pair of free throws, and an offensive foul on Portland’s Shaedon Sharpe sealed the game for Golden State with a 116-114 victory, despite the Trail Blazers having a timeout remaining.
