Jane’s Addiction Unveils 2024 UK and European Tour, Their First in Eight Years

Iconic alternative rock band Jane’s Addiction is set to embark on a UK and European tour in 2024, marking their first headline shows in the region in eight years. Following their extensive tour with Smashing Pumpkins last year, the upcoming gigs will take place in May and June.

The tour kicks off with UK dates, including two performances at the Roundhouse in London on May 27 and 29, followed by shows in Glasgow on May 31 and Manchester on June 2. Perry Farrell and the band will then proceed with European dates, starting at the Große Freiheit venue in Hamburg on June 6. Additional headline shows across Europe include stops in Cologne, Paris, and Luxembourg, with various festival appearances planned for the summer.

These 2024 tour dates not only mark some of their first shows since the Smashing Pumpkins tour but also the first European performances since Eric Avery rejoined the lineup last August. The announcement follows frontman Perry Farrell’s tease of new music, and the classic lineup’s reunion for the first time since Avery left touring in 2010.

If the upcoming material turns out to be a full-length album, it will be their first since the 2011 studio album ‘The Great Escape Artist.’ In the meantime, the band has released several live records and the standalone single ‘Another Soulmate’ in 2013. Earlier this year, they premiered a new song, ‘True Love,’ during a live show in California.

In addition to the headline dates in spring and summer, Jane’s Addiction will make a significant return to the UK by headlining the Bearded Theory festival, scheduled for May 23-26 at Catton Hall in Derbyshire.

The festival’s 15th-anniversary edition will feature various acts, including Future Islands, Amyl And The Sniffers, Sleaford Mods, Orbital, Dinosaur Jr (UK-exclusive), and Bob Vylan.
