Arsenal defeated Burnley 3-1 at the Emirates as they maintained their strong Premier League play.
Although the Gunners didn’t play their best, Mikel Arteta’s team won thanks to a strong second half and two goals from corners.
Zeki Amdouni came close to opening the score for Arsenal, but David Raya’s outstanding stop kept things 1-1. Arsenal were missing Thomas Partey, Odegaard, Smith Rowe, and Gabriel Jesus.
Trossard’s goal, which came just before halftime, was awaited by the home team. He headed home at the far post with bravery.
Arsenal scored their 1,000th goal at the Emirates, but their celebration was short-lived as Gabriel diverted a Josh Brownhill shot into goal.
William Saliba’s header in Trossard’s corner put Arsenal back ahead three minutes later in a game that at times felt a lot like basketball.
Then, with five minutes remaining, Oleksandr Zinchenko scored into the top corner to ensure all three points.
After a risky challenge on Brownhill, Fabio Vieira was sent out, but Arsenal managed to hang on and earn three crucial points.
