Paris Saint-Germain will play a challenging away match tonight against Stade Rennais, four days after their Champions League humiliation at the hands of Newcastle United.
After a mediocre start to the season, the Ligue 1 champions are only sixth in the standings. During the forthcoming international break, AS Monaco is expected to keep the top rank. If Stade Rennais, a team that has become somewhat of a bogey team for Les Parisiens, secures a second straight home league victory, PSG may drop even further in the standings.
According to Le Parisien, Luis Enrique will alter the aggressive 4-2-3-1 formation he used at St James’ Park, which absolutely failed.
The outlet has learned that France U21 winger Bradley Barcola will start for PSG instead of Randal Kolo Muani, who will sit on the sidelines. The former Olympique Lyonnais player is anticipated to start on the right wing opposite Kylian Mbappé, the struggling PSG forward.
Surprisingly, Le Parisien goes on to say that playmaker Ousmane Dembélé, a winger, will take on a more central role, following Gonçalo Ramos as the center forward. Dembélé, a former youth product of Stade Rennais, will make his first visit back to Roazhon Park following his breakthrough years with Les Rouge et Noir.
