Paris St. Germain lost to Nice for the first time under new manager Luis Enrique despite Kylian Mbappe’s double.

Nice took the lead when Terem Moffi’s effort bounced into the bottom corner, but Mbappe equalized with a first-time attempt from the edge of the box.

Gaetan Laborde gave the visitors the advantage once more, and Moffi of Nigeria made a beautiful strike from 18 yards.

PSG had optimism after Mbappe’s soaring volley, but they were unable to tie.

After rejoining the team following a chaotic preseason in which he was cut from the squad due to a contract disagreement, the France captain scored seven goals in four games this season.

Francesco Farioli’s 34-year-old Italian side Nice jumps PSG in the standings to take second place behind Monaco.

Marco Verratti, a nine-time Ligue 1 champion, was honored by PSG before the game for his recent transfer to Al-Arabi of Qatar.
