Chicago Bears Defeat Commanders In Their First Win Of The Season

Chicago Bears, led by star DJ Moore defeated Commanders to claim their first win of the season on Thursday night at FedExField.

The receiver caught eight passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bears to an impressive 40-20 victory over the Washington Commanders. 

Moore had four catches for 126 yards and one TD in the first quarter and added a second touchdown in the second period to help the Bears score a whooping 27-3 halftime lead. 

Then the Washington Commanders manage to light their points to 30 with a 56-yard touchdown reception and 4:09 remaining.

The Bears (1-4) dominated on both sides of the ball in the first half. Their offense scored on all five of its possessions highlighted by three Fields touchdown passes.

The Bears took a 7-0 point lead as Fields threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Moore in the left corner of the end zone on third-and-14. 

They increased it to 10-0 on Cairo Santos’ 22-yard field goal. The kick came after Khalil Herbert’s 34-yard run to the Washington 13. 

Moore jumped high over a defender in the left corner of the end zone to pull in an 11-yard TD pass from Fields on third-and-6, giving the Bears a 17-0 lead.

Joey Slye scored a 51-yard field goal midway through the second quarter to give his side some hope. 

The Chicago side increased their tally to 20-3 with Santos’ 36-yard field goal.
