Leeds Sign Glen Kamara From Rangers

Leeds United has announced the signing of Glen Kamara from Scottish side Rangers, subject to international clearance and a work permit.

Kamara has signed a four-year deal at Elland Road, running until the summer of 2027.

He has joined the former Premier League side on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee.

After being part of the Southend United youth system, the midfielder joined Arsenal’s Academy in 2012.

He also went on to make his Gunners first-team debut in October 2015 in the EFL Cup against Sheffield Wednesday.

He returned to the League One side Southend on loan and also had a stint at Colchester United, before moving permanently, north of the border, to join Dundee in the summer of 2017.

Glen joined Scottish side Dundee United in 2017. He made 46 appearances for the Dark Blues in all competitions, whilst earning his first senior international cap for Finland.

Glen has spent four-and-a-half years with Rangers and the midfielder has gone on to feature 193 times for the Gers, scoring 11 goals.

In the 2020/21 campaign, Kamara played a key role in Rangers winning the title for the first time in 10 years, with the club going the season undefeated and racking up a club record 102 points and he was also named in the PFA Scottish Premiership Team of the Year.
