Fans of Bruce Springsteen are hoping and dreaming that he would soon resume his tour following the rock star’s admission that he is receiving treatment for peptic ulcer illness.
The E Street Band had to cancel eight gigs this month due to Springsteen’s diagnosis with the typical and frequently unpleasant gastrointestinal disease.
Two doctors told NBC News that while some cases of peptic ulcer disease, which is a wearing away of the stomach lining, are asymptomatic, other cases are severe enough to cause a patient to double over in pain.

Springsteen had previously canceled two concerts in Philadelphia that were scheduled for August 16 and 18 due to an undisclosed illness. The new dates for those concerts are August 21 and August 23, 2024.
But after that setback, Springsteen was able to bounce back and perform twice in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and then three times over Labor Day weekend at MetLife Stadium in his home state of New Jersey.
