Manchester United has signed Geyse Da Silva Ferreira from European Champions Barcelona for an undisclosed fee.
Geyse had only completed one season at Barcelona, where she won the Liga F and the Champions League, coming on as a substitute in the final against Wolfsburg.
Geyse arrives as a replacement for England forward Alessia Russo, who left United for Arsenal on a free transfer earlier this summer.
Speaking about the move, Geyse said:
I am very happy to be here. Signing for United has been a very special day for me and my family. I am very grateful for this opportunity and thank everyone for making it happen.”
In total she made 37 appearances for Barca, scoring 11 goals, but was often used off the bench, as Spain had Asisat Oshoala and Salma Paralluelo.
She has been capped 41 times by Brazil and was part of the squad which won the Copa America last summer.
Barcelona initially rejected a move for her, but they caved in since her contract was ending in 2024.
