Royal Website Changes Sussex Profiles After Transition to Non-Working Roles

The official website of the British monarchy has undergone a revamp, consolidating the online presence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex into a single profile section.

Previously, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had individual biographies featured alongside other members of the Royal Family. However, their profiles have now been merged under the “Duke and Duchess of Sussex” heading.

This update aligns with the couple’s decision, announced in January 2020, to step back from their roles as working royals.

Furthermore, the website has also removed the individual profiles of the couple’s children, Archie and Lilibet, from the family homepage. A Buckingham Palace spokesperson addressed the changes, explaining that the website’s content is being revisited and updated periodically following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, acknowledging that some information may be outdated during this process.

Since their decision to step away from senior royal duties, Harry and Meghan have established a new home base in Montecito, California, where they reside with their children. As non-working royals, they are no longer permitted to use the HRH styling or the term “royal” in their independent endeavors.

Undeterred, the couple has forged ahead with various personal projects, including the establishment of their charitable foundation, Archewell. Harry has published his memoir, “Spare,” while Meghan launched a podcast series titled “Archetypes” and recently unveiled her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
