Bobbi Althoff, the 26-year-old social media star and podcaster, is going through a divorce from her husband Cory Althoff, a 34-year-old tech executive. The couple, who have two daughters, Luca and Isla, married in January 2020, but split in July 2023, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
Cory filed for divorce in Los Angeles County, citing irreconcilable differences. He is seeking joint custody of their children and no spousal support.
The divorce comes after Bobbi Althoff made headlines for her viral interview with Drake, the Grammy-winning rapper, in August 2023. Bobbi, host of The Really Good Podcast, flew to Memphis to meet him at his hotel and interviewed him in his bed.
The interview, which was filmed and posted online, showed Bobbi asking Drake uncomfortable and hilarious questions, such as “Do you think you’re a good person?” and “Do you ever get bored of being Drake?” The rapper appeared amused and intrigued by her deadpan humor and blunt style, and even flirted with her at some points.
The interview sparked speculation that the two had hooked up, or that they had a falling out after it aired. Bobbi deleted the video from all platforms and unfollowed him on social media.
In September 2023, she later addressed the rumors and denied that she had an affair with Drake. She shared a screenshot of a direct message from Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, who asked her if she hooked up with Drake and got divorced. Bobbi replied,
“I am not commenting publicly but off the record, you’re right that is not true.”
She also said that she did not want to do the podcast in the first place, and that it brought her a lot of negativity.
Following her divorce announcement, she dropped an Instagram post with a black-and-white picture of her and Cody embracing. She wrote that “while our relationship did not work out as husband and wife, we will always be friends and I will always love him.”
She has continued to host her podcast, where she interviews celebrities and public figures in her unique and awkward way. Some of her guests have included Lil Yachty and Mark Cuban.
Cory is a senior vice president of software development programs at CompTIA, a leading tech association. He has also written a bestselling book, The Self-Taught Programmer, and has been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, and TechCrunch.
Bobbi and Cory’s divorce is expected to be finalized in the next few months, unless they reconcile or contest the terms.
