Tucker Carlson’s Interview with Putin Set to be Released Soon

Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News host, made headlines when he said he will interview Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow soon.

The interview, which will be posted live and unedited on X, will be the first one-on-one conversation between Putin and a U.S. media personality since 2021, when CNBC’s Hadley Gamble interviewed him. It is expected to cover topics such as U.S.-Russia relations, the Ukraine crisis, the 2020 election, and the Navalny case.

Carlson said he decided to interview Putin because he wanted to “ask the questions that no one else will”. He said he was not afraid of challenging or holding the Russian President accountable, but he also wanted to understand his perspective and his motivations. He also said he was not interested in “demonizing” Putin or “cheerleading” for him, but rather in “informing” his viewers.

Tucker Carlson said he paid for the trip to Russia himself, and that he had no agenda or preconceived notions, but only to focus on the war in Ukraine, which he called “the most important story in the world right now”.

The exact date and time for the release of the interview have not been announced yet, but Carlson said it will be “soon”. He said the interview will be uploaded live and unedited to his X account, and that Elon Musk, who owns the platform, has “promised not to suppress or block the interview”. The interview will be available for free to anyone who wants to watch it.
