Sarah J. Maas returns with “House of Flame and Shadow”, the 3rd book in the Crescent City series

Sarah J. Maas, the bestselling author of the Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses series, has released her latest novel, “House of Flame and Shadow”, the third installment in the Crescent City series.

The book, which was published today, January 30th, by Bloomsbury, is the sequel to “House of Sky and Breath”, which came out in 2022, and “House of Earth and Blood”, which launched the series in 2020.

The Crescent City series is set in a world where humans, Fae, angels, demons, and other supernatural beings coexist in a modern and magical city called Lunathion, also known as Crescent City. The city is divided into four quarters, each ruled by a different faction of the Vanir, the collective term for the non-human races. It is also under the control of the Asteri, a group of seven powerful Archangels who oversee the world.

“House of Flame and Shadow” will bring the conclusion to the Crescent City series, as it wraps up the story arcs and the character development of the main and the supporting characters.
