Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has been nominated for Grammy Awards in the Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording category.

His latest book, “It’s Ok to Be Angry About Capitalism” which came out this year was nominated for the prestigious award.

He is up against the likes of Meryl Streep, William Shatner, Rick Rubin, and Michelle Obama to take home the win.

Obama earned her nomination for her self-help-style memoir “The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times.”

Obama previously won a Grammy Award in the spoken word category for her 2020 bestseller “Becoming.”

Bernie had his first nomination in 2018, but he lost out to Carrie Fisher’s autobiography.

Another Vermonter, Strafford-born singer-songwriter Noah Kahan was nominated in the Best New Artist category in the wake of his 2022 album Stick Season.

SZA is leading the Grammy nominations with 9 under her belt. Billie Eilish has six nominations to her credit, thanks to her work on Greta Gerwig’s summer smash “Barbie” film.

The soundtrack, which also features Dua Lipa, earned a total of 11 nominations in the major categories and the visual media fields.

Olivia Rodrigo also has six nominations for the event in Los Angeles and she is also in contention for the night’s top award.

“Women had dang good music — some of the biggest records of the year and the biggest songs,” Recording Academy chief executive Harvey Mason Jr. told The Los Angeles Times.

“And our voters were obviously moved by a lot of it.”
