The death of Hugh, son of Hugh Douglas, in a car accident near Atlanta, Georgia, on Monday, left the former Eagles player in despair.

Hugh Douglas, the son of Eagles Hall of Famer Hugh Douglas, and his roommate Christion Files Jr., died in a single-vehicle accident, just after 5 o’clock in the afternoon at East Point, Georgia.

The two passengers of the car were killed when it crashed after colliding with a power post at Church Street and Linwood Avenue, according to a Georgia State Patrol spokesperson.

The occupants were confirmed to be Douglas and his friend and roommate by Morehouse College on Tuesday morning. They both belonged to the school’s 2025 graduating class.

Douglas was a business student at Morehouse, a prestigious historically Black college, with a focus in finance.

On Tuesday morning, 94WIP, where his father is a host, expressed their condolences.

As Douglas published multiple photos on Monday night and Tuesday morning, his social media channels erupted with condolences for his deceased kid.
