The R&B legend, Usher, recently took center stage during the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 10th.
Indeed his performance was nothing short of electrifying. A bit rushed, yes, but it still left his viewers in awe and wanting more.
Usher dazzled the audience with outfit changes, his abs reveal, mesmerizing choreography, and even donned actual roller skates. Yes, you read that right—roller skates! He didn’t only just glide across the stage in them, he also joined his dancers, who wore them as well, to perform a series of very cool choreos.
However, keen-eyed viewers noticed something amiss at one point during his performance of “O.M.G.”. Amidst the spins and twirls, Usher stumbled, almost losing his balance. It was a fleeting moment, but social media caught it all. Thankfully, he recovered gracefully, proving that even the smoothest moves can have hiccups.
Usher also collaborated with various artists on that grand stage. Decked out in a stunning red jumpsuit, Alicia Keys joined him with her soulful rendition of “If I Ain’t Got You” and transitioned seamlessly into their 2004 hit single “My Boo,” which won a Grammy for best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocals.
Other artists that appeared on stage with the ‘Yeah’ singer were H.E.R., with a mesmerizing guitar solo performance, Lil Jon, Ludacris, and will.i.am. Justin Bieber was notably not present, at least on stage.
While Usher’s performance reached its crescendo, many viewers craned their necks, waiting for Bieber’s surprise appearance. But it never happened. The “Baby” crooner remained firmly planted in his seat, with his wife right beside him.
