Hip-Hop Mogul Diddy’s Homes Raided Amid Sex Crimes Allegations

With the mounting legal troubles facing hip-hop icon Sean “Diddy” Combs, federal authorities descended on two of his luxury residences on Monday, executing search warrants as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.

Teams of armed agents from Homeland Security Investigations fanned out across Diddy’s sprawling compounds in Los Angeles and Miami, removing potential evidence from the scenes. HSI, the investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security, confirmed to CNN that the “law enforcement actions” were part of an active probe, but did not disclose potential targets or details.

However, the high-profile raids came on the heels of very disturbing civil lawsuits alleging that Diddy perpetrated years of sexual abuse, and harassment, and operated a “widespread and dangerous criminal sex trafficking organization.” Among the accusers is his former girlfriend and singer Cassie Ventura, who accused the 54-year-old music mogul of rape and sex trafficking when she was a teenager signed to his label.

While Diddy vehemently denies any wrongdoing, calling the allegations a “character assassination” by those seeking money, the civil cases opened the door for potential criminal scrutiny.

Federal prosecutors have not confirmed him as a target, but the raids involving substantial law enforcement resources at properties linked to his entertainment empire suggest a significant escalation in the probe. Agents were observed hauling away potential evidence and questioning individuals present at the scenes.

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been a transformative figure in hip-hop, driving the genre’s widespread mainstream success through his Bad Boy Records label in the 1990s and 2000s. He has accumulated a net worth estimated at nearly $1 billion through his music career and a diversified business portfolio including clothing lines, beverages, and media investments.
