Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden Welcome Baby Boy Named Cardinal

It’s a joyous new chapter for Cameron Diaz, 51, and Benji Madden, 45, who have welcomed their second child together – a baby boy named Cardinal Madden.

The couple shared the happy news of their son’s arrival on Instagram on Friday.

“We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our Son, Cardinal Madden,” they wrote. “He is awesome and We are all so happy he is here!”

The couple, who are already parents to 3-year-old daughter Raddix, accompanied the announcement with a colorful illustration featuring the words “A little bird whispered to me”.

While thrilled to share the news, Diaz and Madden were clear they would be fiercely protecting Cardinal’s privacy, just as they did when Raddix was born in 2019.

For the kids safety and privacy we won’t be posting any pictures- but he’s a really cute ☺️We are feeling so blessed and grateful 🍀Sending much love from our fam to yours 🙏❤️Best wishes and Good Afternoon!! 🤘⚡️

Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden’s new bundle of joy marks the latest chapter in their modern family after they wed in 2015 following a whirlwind courtship. The couple were set up by Benji’s twin brother Joel and his wife Nicole Richie just a year prior.

The famously private pair have made a concerted effort to shield their children from the spotlight since Raddix’s hush-hush arrival over three years ago. At the time, Diaz shared the firstborn’s birth while stressing “we won’t be posting pictures or sharing any more details” to protect her privacy.
