The first legs of the semi-finals are scheduled for the week of January 8, with the second legs commencing on January 22. The grand finale is set to take place at Wembley Stadium on February 25.

On Tuesday, Chelsea and Fulham secured their spots in the League Cup semi-finals with penalty-shootout victories following 1-1 draws against Newcastle United and Everton, respectively. Additionally, Middlesbrough advanced to the last four with a decisive 3-0 victory over League One side Port Vale.

At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea faced Newcastle in a tightly contested match that ended in a 1-1 draw. The encounter proceeded to a penalty shootout, where Chelsea emerged victorious with a 4-2 score. The Blues’ substitute, Mykhailo Mudryk, played a crucial role by netting a 92nd-minute equalizer, setting the stage for their penalty triumph.

Fulham’s journey to the semi-finals involved a penalty-shootout win as well, as they navigated past Everton following a 1-1 draw. The shootout concluded with Fulham securing a 7-6 victory, showcasing their resilience and composure under pressure.

Middlesbrough’s path to the last four was more straightforward, as they comfortably defeated League One side Port Vale with a convincing 3-0 win, solidifying their spot in the League Cup semi-finals.
