Jaelan Phillips To Miss Miami Dolphins Match Again, Leading The Inactive List

It is time to add players to the inactive list versus the Giants because the Miami Dolphins have less than an hour till kickoff.

The Dolphins will receive more Andrew Van Ginkel off the edge with Jaelan Phillips down, which also means more Emmanuel Ogbah. Bradley Chubb is hoping to have an effect this week.

Terron Armstead was placed on IR this week, making Phillips the only player who genuinely jumped out this week.

The good news is that Liam Eichenberg should not start today because Connor Williams is active.

As Kelvin Joseph will be on the list again this week, he is assuming the weekly Noah Igbinoghene inactive mantle.

At the final cut deadline, Joseph was dealt to the Dolphins in exchange for Miami’s old first-round pick.

Along with freshly recruited WR Chase Claypool, defensive tackle Brandon Pili will miss this week’s game. Given that Claypool only joined the team this week and hasn’t had much time to get used to the roster, there isn’t much to be surprised about.

Salvon Ahmed, a running back, will also miss the game. This is also only a slight surprise, but given Chris Brooks’ performance thus far, Ahmed is currently ranked lower than Brooks.

Skylar Thompson, who has served as the third emergency QB all season, will also miss practice.

Saquon Barkley won’t play this week for the Giants, which is good news for the Dolphins’ defense. He will be joined by the following players: tackle Andrew Thomas, DL Jordan Riley, center John Michael Schmitz, guard Shane Lemieux, safety Gervarrius Owens, and LB Michah McFadden.

This week’s Dolphins opponent, the injured Giants, requires the Dolphins’ defense to stand up and make plays against a squad that struggles to protect its quarterback.
