Manchester City maintained their unbeaten run against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, despite losing Rodri to a red card in the second half.
They were down 10 men with just over an hour played and still went on to win the match maintaining their stand at the top of the Premier League table.
Rodri got into a scrap with Morgan Gibbs-White and grabbed his opponent by the neck. The latter quickly went down but the referee had little choice after Rodri had raised his hands.
Rodri will now miss City’s trip to Arsenal on October 8 which is shaping up as an early top-of-the-table showdown.
Phil Foden was the man of the match, showing class and creating chances for the Premier League defender. He got the first goal of the game.
Erling Haaland scored his eighth league goal of the season to make it 2-0 but the Norwegian missed a beautiful chance in the second half.
Manchester City is sitting at the top of the table, two points clear of second-placed Liverpool who are on 16 points.
