The Saudi National Center of Meteorology’s (NCM) spokesman, Hussein Al-Qahtani, denied media rumors that a cyclone might make landfall in Saudi Arabia. “The media reports about Saudi Arabia’s atmosphere being directly affected by cyclones are incorrect and that is nothing more than media hype,” he claimed.

Al-Qahtani emphasized that Saudi Arabia looks out over partially confined waters where tropical cyclones do not form and their direct influence is not likely.

The spokesman emphasized the importance of getting information directly from its legitimate source, which is represented by the NCM website @NCMKSA and through the center’s account on the X platform, which provides information to everyone about various climatic conditions and their associated impacts.
