During the first half of Inter Miami’s game against Toronto FC, Lionel Messi was substituted out due to what appeared to be an injury.
Jordi Alba, another member of Messi’s side, was also substituted 34 minutes into the first half. In the 37th minute, Messi was substituted. Before leaving the field to make room for Robert Taylor, he was spotted passing the captain’s armband to teammate Deandre Yedlin.
Before the break, Facundo Faras gave Inter Miami a 1-0 lead with a goal scored three minutes into stoppage time. Concerning Messi’s situation, nothing further was spoken.
