Conjoined Twin Abby Hensel Celebrates Marriage to Nurse in Quiet Ceremony

Abby Hensel, one half of the world-famous conjoined twin duo, has revealed she secretly tied the knot in 2021. The 34-year-old former reality star married nurse and U.S. Army veteran Josh Bowling in an intimate ceremony, according to newly uncovered public records.

The wedding news surrounding Abby and her conjoined sister Brittany, who rose to fame on TLC’s documentary series “Abby & Brittany,” came to light this week. A Facebook profile photo appeared to capture the blessed moment, showing the beaming twins in a white bridal gown holding hands with Bowling dressed in a dapper gray suit.

For the dicephalic twins who share one body below the waist, the joyful occasion marks another extraordinary chapter in their lives.

Born in 1990, Abby and Brittany have navigated some unique physical realities, learning to harmonize their movements (Abby Hensel controls the right arm and leg, while her sister controls the left) and achieve milestone moments like graduating college with teaching degrees.

While conjoined twinning remains extremely rare, with just 1 in 200,000 births producing viable dicephalic parapagus cases, according to the National Institute of Health, Abby and Brittany’s lives have rendered a narrative stranger than fiction.

As for what unique motherhood awaits the newlyweds, only time will tell.
