Rita Moreno Makes “The View” Laugh with Trump Sandwich Joke, Blasts Hollywood Mean Girls, and Endorses Biden

Rita Moreno had everyone cracking up on “The View” on Monday, when she shared a hilarious joke about a “Trump Sandwich” that she saw in a deli in LA.

The 92-year-old actress, who was promoting her new film “The Prank,” said that the ingredients for the sandwich merely consisted of “two slices of white bread, Bologna, and a very small pickle.”

This got the audience and the hosts bursting into laughter and applause, as Moreno enjoyed the moment.

“Chef’s kiss!” Sunny Hostin exclaimed, while Alyssa Farah Griffin called Rita Moreno “an absolute legend.” Ana Navarro added that the sandwich “probably sells for $399”, referencing Trump’s bizarrely expensive official sneakers.

That is not all we got from the EGOT winner during the show. While talking about her new film “The Prank” where she stars as a mean professor who is falsely accused of murder, she talked about drawing inspiration from the women who treated her badly in show business. Candidly, she said,

“I thought of all the women in my life — particularly in show business — who’d really been awful to me,” Moreno said. “I said to myself, I thought, ‘I’m going to use all of the things that they did with me and my little Puerto Rican past,’ and that’s what I do. Boy was that fun.”

Furthermore, during her appearance on ‘The View’, Rita Moreno used the opportunity to express her support for President Joe Biden, who is 81 years old, and dismissed the criticism that he is too old to run again.

She compared him to former president Donald Trump, who faces 91 charges in four indictments for various crimes.

“I am not about to vote for someone who has 91 indictments against him for criminal activities. I mean, enough said already. It’s so stupid. Look at all the stuff that Biden has accomplished.”

Navarro seemed to agree with the actress in her response when she said, “I’ll take 81 years over 91 counts any day.”
